New Technique Watercolors on Painted Clay Flower Pot

Image
Watercolor Painted Clay Flower Pot

Painted clay flower pot is a watercolor illustration with colorful garden flowers under the blue skies. Find thistle, coneflower, blue bachelor buttons, white lace and wildflowers growing among the grass.

This is a new technique that allows me to apply my wonderful illustrations. This is a distinctive decorative garden pot ready to give as a gift or keep it for yourself.

Art Studio Woodland Fairy House Custom sculpted woodland fairy houses handmade fairy sculptures by Laurie Rohner. Fairy houses by Laurie Rohner

This is a custom handmade woodland fairy house sculpted from wood pine cones sea glass pebbles and natural finds.
Inside fairy art studio
An art studio for a woodland fairy to sit and create along side you, how magical is that? Inside there is an easel set for a fairy creation with a stool and behind are rolled up canvases. On the other side is a fairy computer and tablet with a few old fashioned books in the corner set upon a drift wood table with chair. The floor has a natural woven rug and on the back wall are cedar panels.

The roof is from branches and strewn across are pebbles, cones, sea glass, and raffia in a bow. The cones are separated and form shingles to help prevent the weather from coming in. The sides and back also have decorative cone shingles. I glue each and every piece you see in place by hand.

Watercolors on painted furniture.

Image
I will paint on any surface if at all possible with watercolors. Watercolors are underrated. I find when you combine watercolors and gouaches and apply them to a specially primed surface you can paint with them anywhere.
Watercolor Box
This box was one of the first paintings and has been sold, I did love this box. I have some new items that I am adding to the shop at Between The Weeds. Some are just for studio pick up and a few are small enough for me to ship.  Check out my shop here. I work with hand painted illustration on painted furniture adding botanical flowers bees words and animals. Anything the furniture is telling me to paint. For the most part every piece of painted furniture speaks and I listen. Sometimes I will hold onto a chair dresser or even a board waiting for the whisper of what it is needed for the work. This week spring is coming. I have so many things blossoming in my studio. Now I have to find the time to photograph my work so I can share it with you.
